I was a bit scared in the beginning because l was frightened of Mortimer. But in the end it was very happy. I would recommend this book to people who like animals or even talk to them. This is one of the best books I have ready. The book was very exciting and full of cliff hangers. It is amazing that Evie can hear and talk to animals. My favourite person was Scruff the dog because he is funny and joyful. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes animals. Evie and the Animals is a book about friendship, kindness and power. The main character, Evie Trench, is a very determined girl and has a very special talent. What she doesn’t know is this talent could put her and her family in danger. Evie’s mother was killed by an Australian wandering spider that was being controlled by the man she should fear the most, Mortimer J Mortimer. Five out of five stars for making me feel different about some animals and making them sound less scary.

Olen itse lukenut häneltä ainoastaan Radleyn perhe - vampyyriromaanin, joten oli ihan mielenkiintoista tarttua hänen uusimpaan lastenkirjaansa "Eevin eläinmaailma" (Aula, 2021). Absolutely adored this book!! Matt Haig has done a FAB job of writing this story! It is great to read a story about animals in such a different light to 'normal'. I grew very fond of Evie as her warm-hearted and caring personality is shown towards the animals and humans. Was für ein auffälliges und farbenfrohen Cover welches durch seine detaillierte Zeichnung besticht. Der Schreibstil ist echt angenehm zu lesen und für Kinder gut geeignet aber nicht zu einfach gehalten.
