About this deal

If there is food still floating in the water (the water is cloudy) then they don’t need to be fed. If the water looks quite clear and the aqua dragons are looking for food in the sediment formed on the bottom of the tank, then it’s time to feed them.

You may be able to see your Aqua Dragons using a magnifying glass in as little as 24 hours, and you should be able to see some with the naked eye within 3-4 days. Their very efficient way of living and reproducing has enabled them to arrive to today’s day almost exactly as they were millions of years ago. Tests have found that eggs kept in air sealed containers for up to 20 years still hatched when they were returned to water. Aqua Dragons are most sensitive in their first weeks of life, so to avoid problems follow this advice: From the moment we started working with these tiny unique creatures, we felt and still feel, that they are one of the all time best toys and pets ever, and have been putting our heart, soul and creative minds into innovating the concept so curious kids and animal lovers everywhere can access a kit and grow their own pets. Aqua Dragons Toy

Two days after set up, start feeding with one small level aqua dragons feeding spoon full. Step four: Care for your Aqua Dragons and watch them grow. I kept the tank going for a further week just in case they were hiding, aerating the tank every now and then, but alas, our dragons had ceased to be. They were ex-aqua dragons. RIP little buddies. As a general guide, you would normally feed Aqua Dragons every 2-3 days if you have many Aqua Dragons, and every 3-4 days if you have fewer. Here is a short video about what to do to help your Aqua Dragons thrive when they are not doing well, and also how you can get them to hatch again after the life cycle has finished in your tank:

There were probably more than a dozen, not even a millimetre long. I got stupidly excited, and so did the kids… and then DISASTER. We received the Aqua Dragons Deluxe Deep Sea Habitat with LED lights free for the purposes of this review but words and pictures are my own.

Actually, that’s not a tail….it’s poo! Sometimes it forms a string and stays attached to the Aqua Dragon for a while before eventually dropping off. It’s perfectly normal and doesn’t do the Aqua Dragon any harm. In the wild Aqua Dragons (Artemia Salina) still live in salty lakes, they only eat microscopic algae particles, by foraging and filtering along tiny hair like structures on their legs which they move in a rhythmic mantoray motion as they swim.

Aqua Dragons have been living in the sea and in salty lakes on the earth for millions of years including while dinosaurs roamed the Earth!

However, I contacted Aqua Dragons and they were happy to send me another batch of eggs – so watch this space!

The egg has a strong shell that takes 24 hours to break through, releasing a nauplii which is an artemia salina in its larval stage. The larvae emerge swimming and growing rapidly and after a few more weeks it grows into a young adult. When you feed the Aqua Dragons, don’t use more than one level spoonful of food - and always use the special tiny spoon that comes with your Aqua Dragons kit. Sunlight - natural light is beneficial and sunlight is good as long as it does not cause the water to become too hot. Aqua Dragons are a unique and fascinating species of aquatic creatures that make great pets for people of all ages. If you're considering adding Aqua Dragons to your family, you'll want to make sure you have all the information you need to keep them happy and healthy. In this ultimate guide to Aqua Dragons, we'll cover everything you need to know about raising and caring for these amazing creatures.

Yes, Aqua Dragons are living creatures that exist in the wild - their official scientific name is Artemia Salinas. When you receive them, your Aqua Dragons eggs are in a state of hibernation called Cryptobiosis, and they need you to bring them to life! See a full explanation of the life cycle of these amazing creatures here . Aqua Dragons are live aquatic creatures with a scientific name, Artemia Salina from the crustacea family, their eggs have an amazing natural capacity called diapause which allows them to stay alive but hibernating in a dried state only to hatch many years later. Yes, sunlight is good, as long as it doesn’t cause the water to overheat (it should be between 17ºC and 30ºC) so be careful in summer. Aqua Dragons are known for their hardiness and ability to adapt to different environments, but it's still important to be mindful of their health and provide them with proper care to ensure they live a healthy and happy life. Proper feeding, and maintaining a consistent temperature are all important factors in maintaining the health of your Aqua Dragons. The balloon was specially designed so that when it reaches space (commonly recognised as 30 Km from the Earth’s surface, which is three times as high up as planes fly), it will burst. The helium in the balloon expanded to cause the balloon to burst. Our flight reached 32.5km high before the balloon burst and you can see the amazing footage from the space cam video!

Despite following the instructions to the letter,a few days afterwards I could only see one little guy moving around… and then there was nothing. Aqua Dragons are little aquatic creatures also known as brine shrimp or artemia to tropical fish keepers like us. I won’t scar you by letting you know what we do with them but they are labelled ‘live food’. Under optimal conditions - if you care for your Aqua Dragons very well - they can live for a few months. This is their normal life cycle and it is completely normal for them to die within a few months, so when this happens, don’t worry that you have done something wrong. Make sure the temperature remains in the correct zone (17-30 °C) and that the tank gets plenty of natural light. While you’re waiting for your Aqua Dragons to hatch, make sure the water remains at the correct temperature (17-30 °C) and the tank gets plenty of natural light.
