About this deal

And speaking of more output, the AD600Pro has that 38W modelling light, that’s pretty close to two full stops over the AD600. This means it could potentially be used as a video light either bare or with a small modifier. The principle of Godox's policy is to create products that meet all quality standards. Before introducing a product to the market, we subject it to numerous tests and controls, thanks to which we are sure that the introduced product will function flawlessly. Each product is covered by a guarantee and warranty in accordance with applicable law, The dot-matrix LCD is easy to read and the wealth of information and settings visibility is welcome. The menus are easily navigable and very little needs to be clarified via instruction manual to those experienced with strobes. Ok, so maybe Paul asked me to add that last one. I’m curious to see what will happen, actually, with 3rd party flash support with Sigma’s new Panasonic/Leica alliance.

My idea would be to have 1 Pro as the main light where even in a box at 12 feet you could get f8 to f11 on full and still keep 1 sec recycle. Then a couple of the less expensive versions for the other bits where at lower power outputs they will keep up easily. As with all of the other 2.4Ghz Godox/Flashpoint/Pixapro speedlights and strobes, the light is compatible with all of the 2.4Ghz triggers. That’s the XT32, X1T and XPro. You can mix and match to your heart’s content.

Pros

Interestingly the FlashpointRapid 600/Godox QT600was actually reading much faster at full power than the specs state, so I need to look into that further. Both the Westcott and Godox strobes come standard with a Bowens mount, but Godox sells additional mounts separately for Broncolor, Profoto, and Elinchrom. For most, this may not be a big deal, but being that we own Profoto gear already, this is a huge win for the Godox. Build Quality The proprietary TTL and HSS enabled 2.4GHz R2 Radio Remote Systemtransmits atop a modern DSLR body with reliable TTL and pass-through to speedlights, plus laser AF assist. R2 transmitters work with the complete family of Flashpoint Zoom Speedlights, XPLOR600 Monolights and Streaklight Strobes with R2 TTL radio transceivers built right in.Add a R2 receiver to any legacy flash with a sync port and it too becomes part of the R2 Family! The incredible range of these compact and lightweight units as well as their integrated functions and features make them the first choice of professional photographers.

The X1-T was the original trigger. It is TTL and HSS capable, offers control of up to 5 groups, and has a hot-shoe on top. This hot shoe can be used to integrate a non-Godox flash or use another Godox flash on camera while retaining access to 5 groups of flash off-camera.Godox AD600Pro can use in combination with Godox TTL camera flash, TTL outdoor flash, etc. XProII XPro and X1T X2T series TTL wireless flash triggers are recommended. With USB Type-C port to perform firmware update and keep up with the latest technology. You can spontaneously Link to simultaneous multi camera systems! Shoot Nikon and Canon at this same time and the XPLOR will automatically sense and respond accurately. Have one photographer use a Sony and the other a Panasonic, without a care to re-sync!

What’s more, with the Flashpoint units, you are buying into a system the likes of which Profoto was playing catch-up to when they released the A1 speedlight. Flashpoint’s selection of small flashes, which also offer high-end features at bargain prices, can blend seamlessly with monolights, giving access to an affordable arsenal of lights that can be easily used on location or in the studio. [Rewind:] Flashpoint/Godox XPLOR 600 HSS TTL | Full Review CRI readings (Ra) are mostly around 97.6, andaslightGreen tint is starting to show around 1/16 and 1/32 power. So combined with the CRI,the PRO’sLED doesn’t appear to be aimed at high quality video use at this stage. Though its probably fine for some impromptu filming. The final specs remain unchanged, as compared to the leak. It’s a 28.8v 2600mAh battery (vs 11.1v 8700mAh on the AD600), it has a recycle time of 0.01 to 0.9 seconds, which means at lower power (I’ve been told 1/16th and below) you can shoot a rapid 10 frames per second. Due to the change in battery, the maximum amount of full power flashes has been reduced from 500 to 360. On all three Nikon, Sony and Pentax cameras, it fired every single time, and the TTL exposures were pretty close to where we’d have put the exposure if we were doing it manually. The unmatched R2 Radio System links Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm and Olympus/Panasonic seamlessly for the ultimate to remote solutions. The sun is no match to this exceptional performer with superior HSS up to 1/8000s. The new integrated reflector makes the flash ready to serve up some dazzling imagery without add-ons, speeding the way to the finish line. And the broad spectrum of Bowens mount light modifiers available, contours every possible lighting occurrence from studio to peak.

The first time I used the XPLOR 600PRO was at a wedding. Risky business, but thankfully the unit came through. The chosen portrait location was in full sun in the middle of a bright summer day. I put the XPLOR 600PRO in an un-diffused 72” white Savage bounce umbrella and cranked the power to 1/1. The portrait shoot went off without a hitch, even when I was surprised with a group of 35 people to photograph. Flashpoint, one; sun, zero. TT350 and V350: Mini speedlights that are designed to balance better with a smaller camera or mirrorless bodies. Both have TTL and HSS. The V350 uses a lithium-ion battery that lets it recycle faster and put out more flashes per charge, whereas the TT350 uses 2 AA batteries. The battery lasts long enough, and if you are shooting indoors you can always hop over to A/C with the optional A/C converter, available at Adorama. It’s easy to see where you stand as far as remaining battery life goes. There are four LEDs on the top of the battery next to a round button. Press it, and the lights illuminate to show what you’ve got left. Whilst these two flashes are very similar, the AD200 Pro has the edge on the AD200, meaning that of the two, it is the AD200 Pro that you will struggle to find a Godox user without! The AD200 Pro is the most popular of this entire range for its versatility, and portable nature.
