About this deal

My wife and I decided that we would get her one for Christmas and it would be a great way for daddy and daughter to spend some quality time together. My wife and I could do nothing more than laugh at how nonchalantly she rolled that out and then teach her that she shouldn’t use those words. And hope they always want to share with you everything in their life – the good, the bad, and the ugly. I spent years, when our two children were at home, attending all their events, coaching their teams, and helping them with their problems.

But plenty of dads are deep in the parenting trenches and they’re tackling the challenges of looking after small children too. But after all this drama still they keep on imposing that they are the parents, they have raised us, they earned the money, we are ungrateful, we will always be under their debt. The center of the universe: Unlike the emperor of la-la land, this guy totally lives in our world, because he believes he is the center of it. Bonus: Their ridiculous, obnoxious, self-righteous, totally unsupportable belief that they’re a better parent than you.

I think about Presidents and how important it is for them to sit, and shit, and eat, and send astronauts to the moon to shit, and eat, and not sit exactly but float. Again, I told my parents YESTERDAY THAT I WAS GOING TO GO WITH MY FRIENDS, BUT THEY SAID I HAD TO GO AND WALK THE DOG. I’ve got to be honest, your description of many aspects of your upbringing, your parents, and how you were molded is strikingly similar to my own story. It's tearing me apart emotionally, as I'm realizing that the man who was supposed to be my guiding compass is kind of an asshole.

It’s not because I’m any less ashamed now; it’s because if I left them out there wouldn’t be enough for a book. He’s so hot” “what’s thunder,” “it really is dad hour,” “she looks actually attractive right now,” “let’s take a photo! As an adult I’ve grown to appreciate how many flaws probably stem from the damage my parents inflicted, usually unintentional damage. As such I’m hoping together we can fully fund it and thus avoid instituting a subscription service or packing it into a product that must be purchased. For some, it still seems unusual to see a man caring for a child, and Sean’s often mistaken for his twins’ nanny.
